and here with all the news on William Stacey writing. I’ve just published book 1 of a new sword and sorcery series, The Mask of Storms (Book 1 of the Blood and Honor series). Reviews are in and readers are digging its sword and sorcery pulp feel. I’m pretty happy with it, it brings me back to my childhood and reading Robert E. Howard’s Conan stories. Check it out, its quick and fun (novella length).
Also, I’ve finished the monumentally challenging second draft of GUNZ, Book 2 of the Dark Elf War. I don’t like to use terms like “epic” because it’s often code for “first book by new novelist who wants to write like J.R.R. Tolkien but still needs more work” — but this one feels epic. So there’s that.
Otherwise, I’ve been spending my time with Thor and the family, taking advantage of the summer by writing next to the pool. It’s very pleasant in the evening when the temperature cools and I bring out a coffee.
Until the mosquitoes find me.
Talk to you soon.
